Dent wins Ala. Athlete of the Year

Lacey Dent of St. Paul’s is the Gatorade Alabama Track and Field Athlete of the year. Dent also won the honor last year. The award is for athletics and academics.
Dent won the 100 meter high hurdles, 300 meter intermediate hurdles and the heptathlon this spring. The heptathlon features seven events: 100 meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200 meter, long jump, javelin throw, and 800 meter.
Dent’s success helped the Saints win their sixth consecutive state championship.
